Just in case anyone is looking for a reasonably priced source for glass baffles for sump construction:

    Cleveland Glass and Mirror
    1509 Warrensville Ctr Rd
    South Euclid OH 44121
    216-291-4100

I just picked up five pieces for a sump build (2-9" x 11 3/4" and 3-10" x 11 3/4"; 1/4", edges polished, bottom corners rounded) for $65 plus tax which is about half of what I was getting quoted.

I go to Dunn hardware in South Euclid across from Richmond Mall.
They cut glass, just about any size you need.
I have a 55 gallon and a 40 gallon long that I put glass in from them.

    Both work great.
The 55 has been setup as a sump for over 2 years.

Cost me about $14 for glass for the 55 gallon and $10 for the 40 gallon.

Buy some 100% pure silicone for about $4-$5 for a tube and for about $15-$20 you have a sump separated for filter socks, a refugium and a return pump.

I didn't need edges polished and rounded, it is a sump. Never been an issue for me.
    Just FYI.

Most of the price is in the edge grinding. Depending on how well the glass edge it makes the edge smooth so you don't cut yourself and somewhat smooths the flow over the baffle. I think its worth getting. Alternatively, if you can manual or power wet sand the edges. Just make sure you wear gloves and eye protection, keep the water flowing and catch the debris.

For the record, I have never had an issue being cut on the glass in either of my sumps.
To each their own though. Not trying to argue.
