Looks good Fry. Just be careful if your using a mag cleaner on the acrylic with black substrate it contains metals that will be attracted to the mag and scratch your tank. Been there done that.

    I appreciate that advice.
Mag cleaners are not permitted on the premises :)
It's a sponge or filter floss in hand approach.

    Nice build!
If you don't mind, where'd you find the black accordian tube for your drain and is that just a reducer that's attached to the ball valve?
I'm in the middle of stressing out over plumbing for a new setup and that looks like a solution that will ease my mind.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Sorry for the delay. Haven't been on here while it's cycling.

That was part of tubing right out of bag at HD/Lowe's. It's a fraction cut out of a larger piece.
That reducer also has a 'riveted, tapered/cone tip'. The metal clip used was near worthless.
    - The best option is to silicone that seam thickly on the outside so no leaking.

    No problem!
Actually found it while randomly googling: dishwasher drain hose from Lowes. Worked out great attached to a CPR sock-it holder after some hacking. Thanks for the picture/tip!

Aussie toxic green/ yellow hammer. Pretty dern'd bright. Puts my neon trumpet in its place as 'common'.
