Wouldn't you rather sit around with a bunch of people that want to talk about your tank and theirs ??? I know everyone goes to the on line forums, but wouldn't it be nice to actually see the people you are talking to ? Come to a meeting, have a cup of coffee and a cookie, and meet some people with the same interests that you have ! Discuss your latest projects or problems like they did in the "OLD DAYS" ! In person.....face to face ! You might actually like it ! We would !!!

Yeah, I agree. Its good to be able to sit around with other people with the same interests and problems instead of just typing on an open forum. Makes you fesl like a real person and not an account ! Thanks to all that came ! See you soon !!!

You would be surprised at how easy it is to do.

The school tank that i manage, i built a acrylic bracket to hold a float valve. The float valve is used as redundancy for an ATO in case the pump gets stuck in the on position or the sensor on the ATO itself fails. I had never worked with acrylic up until this point but i decided to give it a shot. All you need is acrylic cut to the size you want, a router to make the edges super smooth and/or sand paper, acrylic glue, tape, and a means to clamp if its required. A lot more goes into it but you get the point. Depends on what you are making. Having the edges of the acrylic perfect square, flat, and smooth is the absolute key for working with acrylic. That can make or break your seams.

Below is a picture of what i built. When i built it i had no intentions of it actually being the bracket i was going to use, it was just supposed to be a proto type so i was careless with some stuff but it turned out great so i used it. And i built it right on my kitchen countertop.
