OK so I had put some live rock into a holding tank I was going to use as a frag tank. The rock got fairly infested with hydroids. Luckily it never made it into my DT. The rock was completely covered in Carline and I attempted to torture method. The areas that I torched have turned a neon pink under the blues. Has anyone done this before? is that normal? I would like to eventually move them to my DT. Lemme know thanks!

By torch, I'm assuming you mean there was fire involved. While that may be fun, I doubt it will get every one and they will most likely come back. Some people have had luck using a horse dewormer called panacur, so I'd research that a bit.
